This family-run domain, established in the late 19th century, already had one of the finest heritages of Côte de Beaune. In just a few decades, Dominique Lafon further developed the estate's reputation for exceptional quality, achieving international renown in the process.

From the 1990s onwards, committed to viticultural practices that respect the environment and the terroir, Dominique Lafon launched a conversion to biodynamic vine management persuaded that both wines and vines should be the perfect embodiment of their terroir.

Exceptional locations, controlled yields, manual grape harvesting and traditional winemaking techniques…; the Estate now produces sumptuous white wines that are among the very best Burgundy’s you can find. 

Since 1989, the Domain has been producing red wines of a similar quality: Volnays are remarkable for their wonderful density and supple tannins, the result of controlled harvesting and winemaking.
