We are a group of enthusiasts, collectors and “seekers” of high-quality wines and champagnes with great cellaring potential – which we have been doing for our own enjoyment for over 40 years now!
We are wine collectors and seekers who are both shrewd, over the years we have purchased sufficient wine to be able to hold regular tasting sessions, and patient, as all our wines take a long time to age, or are ready to drink, but have the potential to be cellared for many years still.
Our “quest” began as much in the field as by reading books, listening, studying, questioning, purchasing and comparing wines. Very often, we benefit from the friendly advice and participation of experienced sommeliers, cellar masters, vineyard owners and winemakers. From our first major contacts in Burgundy and the Bordeaux to the lesser-known terroirs (at the time, at least) our expertise has gradually grown to include excellent, new and up-and-coming wines such as Côtes du Rhône, some great Italian wines, wines from Provence, Languedoc, etc.
Gourmets at heart, we love wine and love even more the sharing of it - both with family and friends and, more recently, at our Soirées Magnifiques where our special cellar wines form the perfect marriage with an exquisite fine-dining experience.
Today, our aim is to seek out other wine enthusiasts or collectors in order to share the treasures hidden in our cellar: rare wines, hard-to-find gems, latest discoveries, ancient vintages, iconic wines, great wines in the making, etc.
All our wines have been carefully selected, tasted and assessed. Ninety percent of our wines are sourced directly at the Domains, while the remaining ten percent is purchased from experienced wine professionals who have tasted and assessed them. All our wines embody their terroirs of origin and the passion and enthusiasm of the people who make them. They are stored in genuine old wine cellars that allow their perfect ageing over long periods, even if this is tough on the labels of the oldest bottles.
