This iconic wine from the Languedoc has taken on a mythical status, with enthusiasts dedicated to tasting it at least once in their lives

Laurent Vaillé, who sadly died in April 2021, was one of France’s most talented and outstanding winegrowers, embodying the revival of wines from the Languedoc.

Having learned his trade with the most famous names in the business (Domaine de Trévallon, Domaine Jean-Louis Chave, Coche Dury, Château Rayas, etc.) he took over and expanded the family business, which currently covers 11 hectares of vineyards on the Aniane terroir. 

The exceptional quality of the Grande des Pères wines were recognised as of production of the very first vintage in 1992.

The red is predominantly a blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre, with some Cabernet-Sauvignon and a touch of Counoise.

The white is a blend of Roussanne, Marsanne, Chardonnay and Gros Manseng.
