A sumptuous Champagne - a favourite with champagne lovers everywhere

The very first Salon vintage was produced in 1905 by Eugène-Aimé Salon, a Champagne enthusiast with a desire to create a really exceptional cuvée. He started out by buying a hectare in one of the very best crus in the Champagne region.

This was the first of the Blanc de Blancs vintage, produced with grapes from a single terroir, La Côte des Blancs, a single cru, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, a single grape variety, the Chardonnay. Later, the vineyard would be extended to include 19 other small plots in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. 

Salon only produces a single champagne, the "S” Cuvée, made exclusively from grapes harvested in the 20 terroirs of Mesnil-sur-Oger. Salon  champagne is only produced during the very best years and only sold after a minimum ageing period of 10 years in a cellar. In all, Salon has produced 37 vintages in the 20th century and 3 in the 21st century.
