The Château Coutet, 1er Cru Classé in 1855, is one of the very best Barsac wines.

The 38.5-hectare vineyard is farmed sustainably and was certified “Haute Valeur Environnementale” in 2016. The Château holds an exceptional terroir in Barsac from which it produces very fine, sweet wines.  Its name, deriving from the Gascon word for knife, captures perfectly the characteristics of the wines produced by the Château: edgy, lively, vigorous with a remarkable fresh crispness.
