Trévallon

A mythical wine with worldwide renown

Eloi Dürrbach, who sadly died in 2021, planted the first vines here in 1973: 15 hectares of reds, distributed evenly between Cabernet-Sauvignon and Syrah grape varieties, and 2 hectares of whites in Roussane and Marsanne. From the very beginning, the vineyards were worked using organic farming principles.

This approach has given outstanding results with the estate rapidly producing exceptional red wines and some absolutely sublime white wines.

In 1993, the estate was downgraded to a “Vin de Pays” classification, due to Cabernet Sauvignon being limited to 20% in order to obtain the Baux de Provence AOC, a fact that Eloi Dürrbach was unaware of, his aim being to produce great wines naturally with no administrative constraints.
